Manifesto
As an applicant for CEO position in this organization, I would like to set out some important principles which guide my approach to setting directions for the organization.
I will be responsible and accountable to two main constituencies; that is,
• those who work in the organization and
• to the Board of Directors who represent the interests of shareholders.
I will build this company based on trust and respect for individuals throughout the organization; My view is that trust is, and has to be, the bedrock of this company. And strong corporate governance principles aid in achieving this.
Corporate governance is one of the key elements of economic efficiency and growth, as well as the growth of investor confidence. The corporate governance structure is structured in accordance with the objectives and objectives of the company for the allocation of resources and the performance of the tracking (Tricker and Tricker, 2015). The right business management must focus on management and management in relation to the interests of the company and its shareholders. Armstrong et al (2015) postulates the corporate governance system to ensure the level of confidence that is considered necessary for the market economy in particular and for the entire business community.
On the subject of profit, risk, and growth.
Shareholders seek growth, profit, and a risk tolerance
consistent with what was accepted at the time they purchased shares
Employees joined this organization with a view to establishing and growing their career, finding satisfaction in the work and being rewarded for their effort and success.
The manifesto sets out seven topics which are important to me and which will guide me over my years as your chief.
My legacy will lie with the reputation of the organization and its people.
Financial and human resources management
I believe that sustained financial performance throughout all business cycles provides all stakeholders with a sense that our organization is in good order and is able to cope well with both an expanding or deteriorating economic situation.
Communication intra-organization
Regular communications within the organization is particularly important. I will resolve to provide information on a regular basis on those matters which have a significant impact on the organization. Communication is the art of transmitting information, ideas and attitudes from one person to another. Leading, with its correlated activities of sending and receiving information, involves communication as well as reciprocal interacting between the leader and subordinate, as channel of realizing the organizations’ objectives (Markovic and Salamzadeh, 2018). The term “communication’ has been derived from the Latin word ‘Communis’ which means common, or give and take or mutual sharing.
Delivering reliability to customers
I believe that we all have a responsibility to our customers to deliver products and services which will perform as advertised. To this end, we will regularly obtain and act on reliable information on customer – stakeholder – satisfaction.
Consumers’ satisfaction is the perceived fulfillment of consumers’ desires after utilizing a company’s product. Such satisfaction may be measured by degree of direct survey. Consumer’s satisfaction is so important that many organizations allocate large portion of their resources to pursue this objective. One of the ways to achieve consumer’s satisfaction is through effective marketing strategies which are developed around the identification of consumers’ expectations using such dimensions as product, price, place, promotion along with organization’s distinctive competence (Shaw, 2012). Virtually everything the organization will do is with the ultimate aim of getting or attracting more potential consumers.
Technology development and market shifts
I firmly believe that, as a solar panel industry, our future depends on our policies and practices which encourage the generation of new ideas which, in time, will lead to their adoption and commercialization. Nhamo and Mukonza (2016) postulate that whilst solar panels and solar energy are the future in South Africa, various issues persist. These include the inability of solar energy to be joined to the national grid, high expenses of solar equipment and a lack of harvesting mechanism.
Accordingly, it is my intention to commit to the following practices.
• I will maintain our investment in research and development throughout my period as CEO. This will ensure the company is at the forefront of solar development in South Africa.
Culture
This manifesto speaks to the culture which I wish to maintain and further develop as circumstances change. Organizational culture refers to a “system of shared assumptions, values, and beliefs that show people what is appropriate and inappropriate behavior” (Smith and Victorson, 2012). Yildiz and Acuner (2005) also concur and add assumption and behaviors of organization members in addition to their values and beliefs. Organisation culture usually refers to the organisational values and employee beliefs and both have an influence on employee attitudes and behaviours. Some topics need to be emphasized with regard to culture. ‘Culture is the basis of everything.
Organization
Steps will be taken to ensure the continuity and longevity of senior management including my own succession.
Succession planning throughout the senior management group will be one of my most important responsibilities.
Our organization will be guided by practices which will facilitate growth, productivity and skill development at all levels.

Comments
In closing I would like to assure you that I will listen to your comments and suggestions on how to make the organization an outstanding success. Transformational leadership can be defined as leaders sharing their vision about future with their associates, encouraging them intellectually and paying great importance on their individual differences (European Journal of Business and Management, 2016: Yammarino & Bass, 1990). As per (Artwell, 2017; Sheikh et al., 2013) the transformational leadership style has been the most researched over the past two decades. In many researches it has been lauded for its “superior positive relationship to subordinate satisfaction, performance, motivation, commitment, and rating of leader effectiveness over transactional leadership” (Jati et al 2015). Properties or sub dimensions of transformational leadership are in the form of charisma, being the source of inspiration, intellectual motivation and individualized interest on the
